Mexico’s Great Rally Race-La Carrera

La Carrera Panamericana was a border-to-border sports car race on the open roads of Mexico. Running for five consecutive years from 1950 to 1954, it can only be compared to the great rallies of Mille Miglia and Targa Florio in Italy. La Carrera was resurrected in 1988 as a historic rally reserved for cars manufactured between 1940 and 1965, and has run very year since its return. La Carrera is one of auto-racing’s most historic and most beloved races. Among drivers, it is considered one of the last great rallies left in the world.
