About

Driving La Carrera is a Vintage Rally RAcing team and media Production company.

The Rally Brothers

Chris and Jeff Mason, the Rally Brothers, grew up in New Jersey, as close as two brothers could be. After college, life took them in opposite directions and thousands of miles apart. Jeff headed West to Colorado, USA and Chris went East to Venice, Italy. Rally racing together, Chris as the driver and Jeff as the navigator, has become a way to bridge the distance and stay close with each other.

The brothers’ rallying began in 2018 when they first raced the Carrera Panamericana, the 7-day rally that races  across México, thought, by many, to be the toughest road race in the world. The racing was hard and the competition was tough, which was perfect for the Mason brothers. They fell in love with La Carrera and have since raced it two more times achieving an overall class podium and six stage wins.

In 2023, the Mason brothers raced the Mille Miglia USA Warm Up where they finished first in class and sixth overall. Their win secured them a place in the 2024 Mille Miglia. In June, Chris and Jeff will bring their unique style of brotherly-fun and racing performance to the starting line in Brescia, Italy.

In 2019, the Mason brothers began filming their adventures and sharing their stories of rally racing. Their production company, Driving La Carrera, has released three films, Rally Brothers, Carrera Passion, GT40 Panamericano, and a web series, To Race La Carrera.

Their next film, The Rally Brothers Return, about the 2022 Carrera Panamericana, will be released in 2024.

We support the Piston Foundation.

Who is preserving the car cultures that we love? The cultures of sports cars, rally cars, hot rods, street racers, vintage and historic cars? Who is training crafts people in the art of car restoration? Who is creating apprenticeship opportunities in the automotive arts? Until now, no one was. That is why Driving La Carrera supports the Piston Foundation.

The Piston Foundation is on a mission to preserve car culture. The Piston Foundation is uniting the more than 25M+ U.S. car enthusiasts onto one platform and directing those resources to support car-related student scholarships, fund craft apprenticeship programs, and help other creditable car-related beneficiaries, such as museums.
